If you’ve owned an RV for more than five minutes, you already know the truth:
manufacturers rush builds, systems are confusing, and when something breaks, you’re often left waiting weeks for help — if you can find it at all.

We lived that frustration firsthand.

After going full-time in our RV in 2020, we quickly realized that most RV problems aren’t caused by bad owners — they’re caused by poor design, weak systems, and a lack of practical education.

Barefoot RV was created to fix that.

Not just by repairing RVs — but by teaching, improving, and re-thinking how RVs should work in the first place.

From the Road, Not a Boardroom.

We’re Josh and Jen, and along with our kids, we’ve been living full-time in our RV since end of 2020.

Barefoot RV wasn’t built as a business idea first — it was built as a solution.

Josh has spent years working hands-on with RV systems: repairs, inspections, solar, electrical, and custom modifications. When something failed on our own rig, we didn’t just patch it — we rebuilt it better.

That mindset led to everything you see today:

Nathan and his wife Abby live full-time in their fifth wheel with their two boys, Grayson (3) and Easton (2). They know RV life isn’t always easy — because they’ve lived it.

Nathan hit the road full-time in 2019 and quickly ran into the same problems most RV owners do. Instead of just “dealing with it,” he did what Barefoot RV is all about: he learned how to fix it the right way.

He trained at the NRVTA (National RV Training Academy) and became a certified RV tech. Today, Nathan helps RV owners with the systems that matter most — and he brings extra skills from remodeling and woodworking to solve the “inside-the-rig” problems too.

Now he’s joined us at Barefoot RV so we can help even more RV owners get back to enjoying the lifestyle — not stressing over the next issue.
